In position 2, set the hour hand in hourly increments. For example, for GMT+1, the pusher is pressed until the city of Geneva is positioned under the red triangle. Press the pusher located at eight o’clock until the desired city reaches the reference point with the red triangle at 12 o’clock. The crown position 1 is for winding the watches and is achieved by rotating the crown clockwise position 2 adjusts the hour hand that jumps in one-hour increments and position 3 adjusts the minutes and hours at the same time. One version in stainless steel features a blue aesthetic, and the other one in 18 K rose gold limited to 500 pieces is in shades of dark brown and light brown. To complete the product line with the newly launched Montblanc Star Legacy Automatic Date and Montblanc Star Legacy Chronograph Day & Date that comes in 43mm, Montblanc is introducing two Star Legacy Orbis Terrarum models, reinterpreting the Orbis Terrarum timepiece originally launched in 2014, bringing, style and legibility. The current timepieces include round, polished pebble-shaped cases, like those found on antique pocket watches onion-shaped crowns with the recognisable Montblanc emblem refined dials with the iconic exploding star guilloché pattern and Sfumato alligator leather straps coming from the Pelletteria, Florence (Italy). The Spirit of Formal Elegance embodied in the Star Legacy product line is inspired by Minerva pocket watches from the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Other details include an elegant chapter ring around the outside of the dial punctuated by luminescent dots every five minutes, Super-LumiNova enhanced hands for reading at night and a dark grey alligator strap. It doesn’t only represent the passage of the sun but also the world’s seas and oceans. An “interesting” guilloché pattern can be found on this disc under the continents, which has been developed in-house. The lower dial disc, in varying shades of grey, displays the day/night indication while also showing the 24 hours of the different time zones. These are encircled by the names of the 24 cities representing the different time zones. An upper sapphire crystal dial shows a rose gold-coated cut-out of the continents as seen from the North Pole. ![]()
